AS Roma announces departure of CEO Italo Zanzi

AS Roma announced on Wednesday that Italo Zanzi has resigned as CEO and member of the club’s Board of Directors to pursue other opportunities.

Zanzi joined Roma in early 2013 and has overseen a period of competitive success and financial improvements at the club.

Zanzi submitted his resignation from the office effective from June 30, 2016 and agreed to provide all necessary support during the transition stage.

“Three and a half years ago I had the honor of becoming CEO of AS Roma,” Zanzi said. “Now, with the club well-positioned, I have made the decision to pursue new endeavours.

“I would like to thank AS Roma President Jim Pallotta for this opportunity, as well as our ownership team and Board of Directors for their support. I am especially appreciative of our management, staff and players for their dedication and hard work – they are among the very best in football.”

On behalf of AS Roma’s ownership, Mr Pallotta would like to thank Italo for his work in the interests of the Club, its shareholders and employees. We would also like to wish Italo the very best for the future.
