Alberto De Rossi's league winners emulated the first team of Luciano Spalletti - who was watching from the stands - with a brilliant display of goalscoring, as Marco Tumminello scored a second half brace following Riccardo Marchizza's early penalty, before a late tap-in from Keba Coly wrapped things up.
"We can put this trophy on our wall, to lift it in front of the Olimpico is always a special feeling, " De Rossi said afterwards. "The win is dedicated to everyone at the club because they all make everything happen, let's not forget this.
"We are a mature team, of course you can always improve tactically, but the level we have is of a high standard."
Almost 8,000 fans went to the Olimpico to cheer on both sides, with Roma narrow favourites having won the league meeting between the two earlier in the campaign.
On that occasion it was Marchizza who opened the scoring - from the penalty spot - and history would be repeated on the final stage.
It was Keba who was fouled inside the box after nearly 40 minutes of action, with Roma having perhaps edged the play up to that point but struggled to create many clear-cut opportunities. Marchizza did not pass up such a gilt-edged chance to correct that, however, as he found the bottom corner beyond Michele Di Gregorio's desparing dive.
From that point on Roma always enjoyed an element of control, but it took the clinical finishing of Tumminello to wrap things up. First the striker found the bottom corner with a brilliant low drive after being playing in, before he steered a towering header past Di Gregorio soon after.
Victory was assured but there was still one final goal in the game, as Keba tapped home after Luca Pellegrini burst to the byline and squared brilliantly.
A resounding victory for Alberto De Rossi's team - and another trophy to add to their collection.
