Primavera in US, Photo Diary: Day 1

Today sees the start of a new daily diary feature chronicling our Primavera boys' Orlando adventure. Every day we'll bring you photos with diary entries from Alberto De Rossi's youngsters detailing what they get up to at ESPN Wide World of Sports

We start with five photos from their first day in Florida, described by five different boys. Among them is Aedan Stanley of St. Louis Gallagher Soccer Club, which is part of AS Roma's USA Academy programme. Aedan played for Roma Primavera in Sunday's friendly against Kendall SC.

Francesco Di Nolfo

“This is a great photo of us all in front of the Disney castle we visited on our first morning in the States. It was nice to be able to go back to being a kid again for a few hours and let yourself be carried away by the magic of the place.”

“It was my dream to come to the United States and now it's come true. I'm really grateful to the club for giving me this chance to visit such a wonderful place. That's Mirko Antonucci on my right. This is my first photo of a trip I'm sure I'll remember fondly for years to come.”

“On Sunday we played the first of our three friendly games in Orlando and we won it 5-0. This photo shows me with Kendall's captain and the match officials. It's always an honour to wear the captain's armband and an even bigger one in these colours!”

“I scored two goals yesterday but my first was the better of the two. I had to get up really high to connect with the ball as you can see from this pic. I've scored a few like that before and I'm glad I managed to pull it off this time too.”
